I was humbled and honored to receive the Gypsy Robe on March 15th onstage at The Marquis Theatre 2 hours before the opening of ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE.  It is a tradition from the 1950's that Equity keeps alive by honoring a member of the ensemble who happens to have the most "Broadway Chorus Contracts" under their belt.  This ceremony always gets me emotional, and this one was no exception...

Jimmy was telling me about first appearance on TODAY when they needed a guest last minute and he agreed to help them out.  They have always been willing to help Jimmy out ever since.  A good lesson for all!
